Both sides

Read this before you vote. Committee briefs are signed off when a poll opens. The digest restates both cases in equal weight — it is not a recommendation and not union policy.

AI digest is off on this host. The signed committee brief still stands.

Committee — for

All staff should be able to have a place to get things off their chest and without fear of discipline

Committee — against

The officer in charge must remain in control at all times, to forget rank at the mess table undermines the authority given by the brigade.

Rank is represented and in play everywhere. If someone says sonething inappropriate at the mess table the officer in charge would have to deal with it

I like to eat and talk a lot at the mess table. Sometimes people don't like it. Tough.
